Here's what
to do.

On iPhone or iPad open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or open Apple Account on the web.

Select the paid subscription to change.

Tap Cancel Subscription. If no cancel button appears, look for an expiry notice.
BEFORE YOU CONFIRM
Use the Apple Account shown on the original receipt. Apple's web flow may direct you back to a device.
After cancellation
Apple says a red expiry message or no Cancel button can indicate the subscription is already canceled.
